I use different types of glass rods and heat them in a torch-flame until they are malleable. Then I spool them on to a steel mandrel. The dots are created with a different process using little blobs of glass placed on the skin of the actual 'bead' then using various reducing and oxidizing flames, i create different patterns and colors depending on how each color reacts to the flame type. :) I hope that answers your questions!

its well worth the money and time. I think that artisan/manual crafting should be a part of everyone's life. we are losing our manual thinking, our dexterity and replacing building and creating with video games, movies and tv.
